The Crown and the Hood is the first setting for Embrace Chaos, built on a creative merger between Arthurian legends and the tales of Robin Hood.
Arthur Pendragon and Robin Locksley grew up together, both squires of the same knight, but their lives had taken different paths. Arthur discovered his heritage and became king of the Britons and believing in the divine right to rule. Robin becoming the famed outlaw Robin the Hood, questioning the very foundation of medieval government. Currently there is an uneasy truce between the two, as the cruel nobles that Robin targets are often King Arthur's political opponents who reject the code of chivalry of the Round Table.
This all takes place in the Land of Albion, a frontier based on medieval Europe and a landscape inspired by the coastline of ice age Europe.
